Macoun
Macoun originated in Geneva station in 1909 but was introduced in 1950

Fruit:
Macoun is shaped like a Mcintosh but with a darker red color.  Macoun is a firm, aromatic apple that bruises easily.  A good eating apple with white flesh.

Mid May

Bloom Color:
Light pink - white

Pollination:
Pollinates early to late blooming varieties.

Fruit Ripening Time:
Late October - early November.

Rootstocks:
EMLA 26 Dwarf Mature Height 10-12ft.
EMLA 111 Semi-Dwarf Mature Height 18-22ft.

Tree Characteristics:
Upright growing habit which requires aggressive thinning.
