We are seeking an enthusiastic sales and customer service focused individual to help in our retail garden center & nursery this spring.  This position could be a full-time or part-time hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with plant identification, selection, site and cultural requirements, disease, and pest control. 

Skills, Duties, & Requirements

  • Knowledge of plant material including trees, shrubs, and perennials is required. 
  • Product knowledge including soil amendments, soil types, and pest/disease control and garden tools are useful. 
  • Ability to lift and carry 60-70 lbs regularly (preferred)
  • Working outdoors daily
  • Requires weekend hours during busy times
  • PA driver’s license and no criminal background
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to operate farm equipment such as forklifts, tractors, skid steers, trucks, etc.

We are seeking a skilled individual to help with maintenance, operation, and repair of all farm equipment.  This position is full-time.  Person will also assist in the preparation, planting, management, and harvesting of crops, orchard, and nursery trees.  Paid spray applicator license training available.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and inventory of all tractors, sprayers, wagons, trailers, forklifts, skid-steers, vehicles, trucks, road tractors, loaders, utility vehicles, and landscape equipment.

Skills, Duties, & Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs. and able to spend at least 8 hours per day standing
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
  • Must be willing to work weekend and after hours as workload and seasons dictate
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle or farm equipment repair and maintenance
  • PA driver’s license and no criminal background
  • Must be able to weld for metal fabrication and repair of equipment
  • Must be able to use shop tools including various wrenches, hand tools, and power tools
  • Will assist with deliveries of product; paid CDL training available.
