RED STAYMAN WINESAP #201 – EMLA26 Dwarf Rootstock – 3/8-1/2″ (3-4 ft.)
Kansas, 1866. Large, slightly oblate fruit. Dark red color over green-gray base, often with light gray or russeted dots. Has a tendency to crack. One of the crispiest winter apples. Flesh is fine textured, firm and white. Moderately tart, rich wine-like flavor. Excellent for eating fresh and cooking. Requires pollination as is triploid. Harvests mid-late October.
